Rolling Circumference Difference Calculator

Calculate the percentage difference in rolling circumference between two tire sizes. Critical for AWD vehicles where mixed tire sizes can damage the drivetrain.

Why Rolling Circumference Matters

On AWD vehicles, all four tires must have very similar rolling circumferences. A difference greater than about 1.5% can cause the center differential or transfer case to work against itself, causing premature wear or damage.

Formula

Difference (%) = (C2 / C1 − 1) × 100
